The Goth family decided to renovate their home. They went for a light and bright gothic revival style to fit their name and added some quirky facilities they had missed.
It’s a 3 bedroom, 3 1/2 bathroom home with 2 living rooms and 2 extra rooms. The basement offers a small butler’s residence and several extra spaces including a wine cellar and laundry.

When you enter the house and walk down the library corridor in the main living space you get to the dining room. It has a round table within many beautiful plants. Many windows enlighten the room and a fireplace keeps the room warm. From here you also can see the grotto, a fountain that bickers in the background.
In the back of the grotto there is a cozy fireplace as the center piece of the main living room. The piano is now sited downstairs and a globe bar is perfect to serve guests. (On the first picture you can see the library corridor on the right side.)
There we are in the kitchen. This oven is something special. They can cook with real firewood and have 2 ovens. By the way it also heats up the whole house. In the center there is sited a big kitchen island, to have much space for prepping meals. In the the basement there’s is a pantry, so you don’t have to store all the ingredients here.
Going upstairs you get a wonderful overview over the living room. Up here there is a desk for taking quick notes and an organ. The doors lead to the master bedroom, Cassandra’s room and a staircase.
The master bedroom is furnished with wonderful old furniture like this gothic bed. A washing table is sited against a marble wall and in front of the windows a chess table is waiting for the next match. You can access the front balcony from this room. Behind the bed’s wall there is a dressing room and the ensuite bathroom.
Cassandra’s room feels like a tower chamber with its round floor plan. She still has the big doll house, but also a cozy streaming desk chair for recording and streaming. You may have noticed there is a fireplace in every room in this house. Do you also notice there is a hidden door?
Upstairs there is a family room with a tv and foosball table. The room has a partly glass roof and it’s very bright when the sun is shining.
Alexander’s room is painted in his favourite colour: blue. He has a lot of technical stuff and books and next to the door there is an aquarium for his fish.
In Mortimer’s office there are – of course – more books. Is has a reading nook with a desk to write all the gorgeous books and further down there is his gambling area with a bar. Mens club only I heard. Look, his old typewriter is displayed on the fireplace.
Do you want to take a look into your future? Well, this is Bella’s room, she knows how to practice magic.
From the family room you also can get to a roof terrace. It’s not as big as it was before, but it’s very private. The kids can play theatre or lie in the pool and the grown up can relax in the lounge even when it’s raining.
In the garden there is a wishing well, some flower beds and benches. And a tiny house with a stair which leads to the basement. The Goths wanted their family members to be closer, now they have their own tomb.
Back in the house coming down to the basement. There is a wine cellar, a storage room, panrty and laundry room. Another door leads to a butler’s retreat. The Goth’s now enjoy some service.
